PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Dr. Molinaro has been practicing full time at Westwood Dermatology Group since 2000 and treats both pediatric and adult patients. Dr.Molinaro, a board-certified dermatologist, treats diseases of the skin, hair and nails. His particular areas of interest include full skin examinations for detection of skin cancers and precancerous lesions, phototherapy (ultraviolet light) for treatment of psoriasis and light responsive conditions, and treatment of acne.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Dr. Molinaro has served on the Board of The Dermatological Society of New Jersey and has served as Secretary and past President of the North Central Branch of The Dermatological Society of New Jersey. He is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. As a member of the faculty at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons he is an Instructor in Clinical Dermatology and supervises residents in the Dermatology Clinic at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He is an affiliated staff member at Hackensack University Medical Center as well as a member of the staff at Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, New Jersey. Dr. Molinaro has collaborated with the Hillsdale Health Department by volunteering at borough sponsored annual skin cancer screenings.
EDUCATION
Dr. Molinaro graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Seton Hall University in 1992. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School in 1996, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as a third year medical student. Dr. Molinaro finished his internship in Internal Medicine at Yale – New Haven Hospital, and went on to complete a dermatology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he served as their Chief Resident.
